The Foolishness of Preaching
As we continue to be reminded of the two types of wisdom, I feel that it is imperative to realize the absolute danger of mixing them in our ongoing relationship with the Lord. We must remember that a double minded person is unstable in ALL of their ways. (James 1:8) In this instance, that would mean that to be DOUBLE COVENANTED leads to instability in our approach towards Him.
If you have ever been in a conversation with someone and you brought a spiritual aspect to the conversation and they gave you that “blank stare” and seemingly skipped right over whatever you said, then you have experienced “The Foolishness of Preaching." Don’t be offended, it is part of being a follower of Jesus. But, if you have never had this happen then you could probably stand to remind yourself that Jesus died a horrible death just to have the privilege of an ongoing relationship with you. The more we spend time in scripture, prayer, and listening to good solid ministry, the more different we will become to natural minded people. This includes our Christian friends whose relationship with Jesus is based solely on their ability to observe the rules.
