Battle Hymn of the Republic
And I thought I was doing so well😢😢. It was Friday morning, I’m at work, and I have already sent Cassie my sermon notes for Sunday. I’m feeling like I am “ahead of the game.” But noooooooo, the Lord has other plans for this Sunday. Other wonderful plans. In an instant, as I am filling up plastic bins with parts, I begin to hear “ 🎶Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord....” I strained to recall the second line🤔, I knew it had something to do with the grapes of wrath. Part of me wanted to dismiss it but I felt like I should press in and investigate this thought some more. So I did what I could, given my circumstances, I GOOGLED IT! Yes, I pulled up the lyrics, I put my Holy Spirit discerning lenses on and I looked and listened. This message came to me like a sheet falling from the sky. Oh how I love when that happens.
"Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored
He has loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible, swift sword
His truth is marching on.
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! Glory, glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! His truth is marching on."
