Taming the Tongue
Over the years there has been no other area of my life that I am constantly aware of a need for grace (God's ability) than in trying to bring my mouth under His control.
It seems to be yet another example of how Satan purposes to try and take a God-given ability (grace) and render it not only ineffective for good but cause it to be used for destruction.
I realize that in the coming tsunami of awareness of the glory (Doxa) of God, we will see an increase of men, women, and children of God doing amazing exploits with just the words of their mouth. I am reminded by James in chapter 3 that Elijah stopped it from raining for 3 years just by the words of his mouth. Not just anybody can be given that much authority in the earth. Or when Elisha cursed his mockers and a bear came out and killed them. WHEW!! Or it is said of the prophet Samuel that not one of his words “fell to the ground.” That means that everything that he said.....happened.
Selah.
I believe that we are being prepared for an increase of His glory so that we can faithfully steward His will on the earth. I suspect that this is one of those things that is more of a journey rather than a destination that we arrive at. It’s a constant work in process.
