Weeds and Thorns

As we continue to seek Kingdom wisdom concerning Jesus’ parable of the sower, we must keep in mind that He said that this is the most important illustration that He will give. Additionally, He said that if we don’t comprehend and implement these principles that we won’t be able to understand and employ any other Kingdom paradigms. (Selah)

Today we will examine the third type of soil. The King James Version describes this as the thorny soil, but newer translations use the word weeds. So thorns or weeds? For the purpose of this message we will look at it both ways. The use of thorns brings to mind an awareness of potential imminent pain, but the use of weeds is a more subtle and longer lasting exhaustive sensation. It has been my experience that both of these examples are not only present in my life but that they work as a team to try and bring short and long term devastation to my life’s garden. Today we will reveal this plague of the soul and hopefully find the ability (Grace) to bring His fruit to harvest in our lives.
